Our Ministries

Among us you will find a thriving community dedicated to serving each member.  Each of our ministries is focused upon the whole person and engaging them as a follower of Jesus.

Who We Are

We are a community of faith in Jesus which emphasizes following him wholeheartedly, connecting people to one another, and celebrating what God is doing among us.

Children’s Ministry

At Hollowell we take ministry to our children very seriously.  We want them to know Jesus and to have a good understanding of God’s word, so we offer a number of programs specifically intended for them!

How do we get to Junior Church?

When indicated on the screen; in the sanctuary, during the Celebration Service, children are dismissed.

Ages 3 – 5 will meet upstairs in the room adjacent to the Nursery and across from the pre-school room. The Coordinator is Cindy Lougheed.
Ages 6 – 8 will meet downstairs. The Coordinator is Pam Cradduck.

In both cases, Junior Church leaders accompany them to the classrooms. Parents may retrieve their child at the end of the worship service. When you arrive to pick up your child, please sign him or her out. If your child is not registered, please accompany him/her to the classroom area and complete a registration card.

What is the format?

We begin with a time of welcome, prayer, worship song and a Bible story. The story will be told in an engaging way through story telling, puppet shows or video clips. Small group teachers reinforce the stories with a craft/coloring, discussion, games, etc.

Curriculum – What is God like? God is strong, loving, powerful, always with us! How do we know these things? The Bible! We are learning about the character of God as we study one Bible story each week in an exciting journey from Genesis through Revelation.

Special Needs.

If you or your child has a disability or special need, please inform one of our ushers outside the sanctuary so that they may direct you. A specialized staff person waits to assist you.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
