Our Ministries

Among us you will find a thriving community dedicated to serving each member.  Each of our ministries is focused upon the whole person and engaging them as a follower of Jesus.

Who We Are

We are a community of faith in Jesus which emphasizes following him wholeheartedly, connecting people to one another, and celebrating what God is doing among us.

Youth Ministry

At Hollowell, we recognize that our youth ministry serves one purpose: to help teenagers become mature and committed followers of Christ who know how to share their faith.  We want them to know and love Jesus and learn how to fit into the larger Body of Christ, while living in a world that can be skeptical to their beliefs.

As a ministry, we accomplish our mission by creating an atmosphere in which teenagers connect with one another and God, giving them many outlets for the expression of their faith.

Wednesday Night Program

Throughout the school year we meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.  The program consists of a time for the teenagers to socialize through group games, followed by a 45 minute session; in which, the group is separated by age (Jr. and Sr. High).  Sessions include icebreaker activities and a time to study the Bible together.

The beginning of summer marks a transition for us, in which we give more time to small group Bible studies and “Home Nights.”  Home nights are bi-weekly times of fellowship, hosted by families from our church.

Socials, Retreats, and Service/Missions Events

Our group loves to spend time together!  At least once a month the youth ministry hosts a social event, retreat, or service event.  Our social events are focused upon having fun and meeting the need that our students have for social connection and a sense of belonging.  They vary from trips to play mini-golf or laser tag to more elaborate events, such as Allnighters or Luaus.  Retreats occur quarterly and they are great opportunities for your teen to join us for a time of fun and seeking God together.

Service or mission oriented events are focused upon teaching our teenagers the necessity of loving and serving the Church and World.  These range from trips to food banks to week-long service/mission trips.

Important Paperwork/Email Updates

Sometimes paperwork does not find its way home.  We want to make it easy for you to ensure that you have all of the paperwork you need to stay informed and for you teenagers to participate in upcoming events.  To that end, we have created a resource page for you to download any important paperwork and sign up for email updates; follow this link to get there!

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
