What To Expect
Thanks for coming and beginning to get to know us! A website can only do so much, though. We want to invite you to join us on Sunday morning, so that you can really get a good idea of who we are and what we’re about. Until then, here is a little about what you can expect when you come to visit us.
An inviting atmosphere
At Hollowell, we make a big deal of being a community; even a family and we want you to feel like you fit here. When you walk though the door you’ll be greeted with a smile, by someone who will be happy to answer any questions you have. You’ll find an engaging time of worship and teaching, as well as a time of fellowship when we mingle and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
Inspiring worship and solid teaching
You’ll find that our worship is both heartfelt and current; with songs from Passion, Hillsong, and others, as well as a variety of hymns which have been rearranged to connect with today’s worshipper.
Our sermons are both profound and approachable as we study the Bible together and apply God’s timeless truth to our lives.
Something for your kids
We have a great children’s ministry, led by Pastor Jenny and an engaging group of volunteers. Your kids will be with you for the first half of worship, then we’ll transition and children ages three through third grade will have the option to go downstairs to enjoy a program specifically crafted for them. If you would rather that they remain with you, that’s fine too! For those children who remain in the adult service, with their parents, there are activity packets that will hold their attention and follow the theme of the morning’s message.
On Wednesday night, your kids ages three through eleven are invited to join us for Kids Club; a fun, interactive, time to learn about the Bible and play together. If your kids are a bit older–in sixth, through twelfth grade–they can join the teenagers for youth group. You can learn more about that ministry on our youth ministry page.
